Revision History

Date Revision Affected Pages
4/7/2005

Table I-3 was temporarily removed - The percent change and APC for 1950-2000 were incorrectly calculated:

  • For incidence data, the yearly rates for 1950-1972 were age-adjusted using the 1970 standard million population, and the remaining years (1973-2000) were age-adjusted using the 2000 standard million population.
  • The mortality trends were based on rates age-adjusted using the 2000 standard million population.
Temporary removal of:
Table I-3: Summary of Changes in Cancer Incidence and Mortality, 1950-2000 and 5-Year Relative Survival Rates, 1950-1999
2/5/2004 Figure XXII-2 corrected - Incorrect labels were used for the age groups specified in the graph. Ages <50 and Ages 50+ were changed to Ages <65 and Ages 65+ respectively. Figure XXII-2 (PDF, 30 KB)
12/3/2003 Figure XV-4 corrected - Incorrect data was used. Figure XV-4 (PDF, 39 KB)
9/4/2003
7/30/2003
7/30/2003: The calculation of the significance test in the Joinpoint Regression Program was corrected. This changed a few non-significant annual percent changes (APCs) to significant increases or decreases in CSR tables and figures.

9/4/2003: A second modification to the significance test in Joinpoint resulted in 2 tables and 1 figure reverting back to non-significant as published on 6/5/2003.

Joinpoint tables and figures (PDF, 74 KB)
Tables: II-1, III-1, IV-1, IV-2, VI-1, VI-2, VIII-1, XV-2, XVIII-1
Figures: I-21, I-22, XVIII-1

On Tables II-1, III-1 and Figure I-21, three APC values were changed to significant (7/30/03 correction) but changed back to insignificant (9/4/03 correction), thus converting the significance testing back to the original values published 6/5/03. Details provides a full explanation of methods and the affected values.

6/5/2003 Delay adjusted incidence data added Delay-adjusted tables and figures (PDF, 265 KB)
