Announcement: 2007 SEER Program Coding and Staging Manual with 2008 revisions on CD

The 2007 SEER Program Coding and Staging Manual (SPCSM) with 2008 revisions is now available on CD. The SPCSM CD can be ordered from the SEER Publication Order Form.
There is no charge for the CD, and all of the content of the manual, Part I and Part II, is included.
The advantages of the using the CD rather than the PDF version on the SEER Web site are:
- The CD installs a copy of the manual on your desktop so it is available with a single click.
- The CD is completely “linked” so the user can easily maneuver through the contents.
- The index is linked to each portion of the manual.
- A double click on a major division of the manual will display all of the data items within that section.
- For example, clicking on the category “Tumor Information” will display all of the data items in that section.
- A single click on the data item will take you to the first page of instructions for that specific data item.
- Appendix C contains site-specific modules. The modules contain:
- SEER coding guidelines (for certain sites);
- The MP/H rules in each of the three formats, flowchart, matrix, and text;
- All of the CS modules for that site.
- Double clicking on any of the site-specific module titles, for example, colon, will display all of the items within that module, guidelines, MP/H rules (each format), and all of the CS modules.
- A single click on any module such as CS appendix will take you to the first page of that module.
- There is a full search function that allows you to search on words or phrases.
- You are able to insert your own notes within the manual.
- Help is available by clicking on the help tab.
