Multiple Primary Selections for Prevalence

Since each record in the SEER Limited-Use cancer databases represents one primary tumor, it is possible for a person to have more than one record. SEER*Stat recognizes this, and allows you to select or exclude records based on whether or not the patient has had previous or subsequent tumors.

This feature is only available when you are using a database in which the records are grouped by person and are in chronological order of diagnosis. For example, the SEER incidence databases are sorted by SEER registry, Patient ID, and Sequence number.
