The mortality data distributed along with SEER*Stat are collected and maintained by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), part of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The data covers all causes of death, not just cancer deaths.
SEER*Stat users can only access these data in client-server mode.
Use of the NCHS mortality data for publication purposes should include a citation of software and data source.
