Pre-calculated Statistics

left-img

Pre-calculated Statistics are those calculated from individual population-based surveillance data using SEER*Stat or other statistical software, such as age-adjusted rates of cancer incidence or mortality, proportions of survived, etc. Such surveillance data are normally considered censuses, and only aggregated statistics are required for estimating summary measures of health disparities. The notations introduced below use age-adjusted rates as an example but can be applied to other population-based statistics by replacing point and variance estimates of rates with their respective estimates.
