SEER Registries

SEER collects data on cancer cases from various locations and sources throughout the United States. Data collection began in 1973 with a limited number of registries and continues to expand to include even more areas and demographics today.

Research Activities

Special studies addressing topical issues in cancer prevention and control, and databases that assist in epidemiologic and health services research pertaining to the elderly, are just a couple of the research areas currently supported by the Surveillance Research Program.
