An expected survival table is required only when Relative Survival or Crude Probability of Death Using Expected Survival has been chosen on the Statistic tab. Together the observed and expected survival is used to generate relative survival.

The following is a sample table showing one year of survival for white males aged 0 through 6 for 1970 and 1980.
