CONCORD Programme
CONCORD
is the programme for world-wide surveillance of trends in cancer survival, a major research collaboration led by the Cancer Survival Group at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
The CONCORD programme involves over 600 investigators in over 350 institutions in 75 countries. It is designed to inform national and global policy on cancer control. The third cycle of the programme, CONCORD-3, updated the global surveillance of cancer survival trends with data for 37.5 million patients diagnosed during 2000-2014 in more than 70 countries. The results cover 18 of the most common cancers in adults, plus hematological malignancies and brain tumors in children. These cancers represent 75% of all the cancers diagnosed world-wide each year. The summary article for CONCORD-3
was published in The Lancet in 2018.
CONCORD-4 is currently in preparation.
