To save a results matrix to disk, first click inside the matrix window to make sure it's active, then open the File menu and select Save or Save As.
Save will save your matrix using its most recent filename. This toolbar icon is a shortcut for Save. If you have not saved the matrix yet, or if you choose Save As, you will be prompted to choose a directory and enter a filename.
In addition to the output, a matrix file also contains a snapshot of the session at the time of execution. When managing your SEER*Stat files, you have the option to archive matrix files only, session files only, or both. Since a session can be retrieved from a saved matrix, and a saved session can be executed again to regenerate the output, it is only necessary to keep a copy of one type of file.
