July 2013 UPDATE: Radium Ra 223 dichloride received FDA approval for the treatment of patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer, symptomatic bone metastases and no know visceral metastatic disease. This radioisotope is administered via injection and should be coded in the Radiation Therapy data fields. Because the drug emits radioactive particles, it has to be given by a radiation oncologist or nuclear medicine specialist.
