Phase III Quinone derivative; Intravenous diaziquone has produced objective responses in some patients with brain tumors and head and neck cancer; high response rates have been seen with continuous infusions in acute myelogenous (nonlymphocytic) leukemia, although hematologic toxicity is severe. The drug has been effective intrathecally in meningeal malignancies. However, the overall role of diaziquone in cancer chemo is limited. Ilex Oncology.
