Remarks
Calcium channel blocker, vasodilator. Effective in the treatment of angina pectoris due to coronary artery spasm and chronic stable angina pectoris, and to treat hypertension; diltiazem may be able to prevent coronary artery restenosis in heart transplant patients; diltiazem can decrease the frequency of PVCs associated with hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy.
