History:
1. Not reportable (benign).
2. Reportable (malignant).
According to the WHO Classification of Thymus Tumours, encapsulated thymomas lacking implants, lymph node metastases or distant metastases are benign. Thymic tumors that infiltrate into, but not through, the capsule belong in the benign category. A thymoma that invades adjacent structures is malignant.
