Attention: These changes will affect ALL SEER*Stat users, so please read the following announcement carefully.

On June 26, 2025:

  1. The original version of SEER*Stat (version 8.4.5) will be retired. It will be replaced with the new SEER*Stat application, version 9.0.40 (which has been available as Beta for several months).
  2. The IP Address of the SEER*Stat server will change. The new IP address for "seerstat.imsweb.com" will be 72.249.87.142.

The SEER*Stat servers will be down from 9:00-10:00 a.m. ET on June 26 while we make these upgrades.

Impact of Changes

  • When the IP address changes:
    • Some users may need to work with their IT departments to configure their firewall rules to allow access to the new IP address, 72.249.87.142.
      • This configuration change can be made now on the firewall, before the change in SEER*Stat on June 26.
  • If you are using SEER*Stat 8.4.5:
    • You will be required to auto-update to version 9.0.40 the next time you log into SEER*Stat on or after June 26.
    • The new version has a new look and feel, a new method to construct selection statements, and options to graph results.
    • You can test the new version prior to June 26 by downloading and installing SEER*Stat Beta.
  • If you are using SEER*Stat Beta:
    • You will be required to auto-update to version 9.0.40 the next time you log into SEER*Stat on or after June 26. This is a production release of the Beta version.
    • The default server will automatically change to “seerstat.imsweb.com” and use the new IP address.
    • If you would like to test the new IP address prior to June 26:
      • On June 24, change the server address to “seerstat-dmz.imsweb.com”.
      • This will upgrade you to a new Beta version running on the new IP address.
      • You will be prompted to auto-update to version 9.0.40 on June 26 and the default server location will automatically change to “seerstat.imsweb.com”.
  • Password Requirements:
    • When you upgrade to SEER*Stat 9.0.40, you will be required to change your password.
    • The password requirements are changing to improve security. Passwords must be at least 12 characters and include at least 2 special characters.
    • Anytime you receive access to new data (e.g., request a new SEER annual submission or obtain access to other datasets) you will be required to change your password.

Next SEER*Stat Update Planned for July

At the end of July, there will be another SEER*Stat software release to implement required security patches and minor bug fixes. This will be a standard software update with no changes to the IP address and no requirement to change your password.
